LIFE IN THE AGE OF COVID
The film documents the creation of a ground breaking exhibition by artist Alana Jelinek whose huge mural transformed the Gallery at St Pancras hospital into an oasis of calm. This reflected the change in London during lock down, when nature began to take over. Composer Rob Godman's recording of the dawn chorus during lock down transports us back to that time. The project was conceived by Peter Herbert, Manager and Curator of the Gallery with funding for the commission from Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust. The exhibition also features work of 21 Other Voices, a wide range of artists who reflect on their very varied experiences of lock down.
LUCIE'S LOCK DOWN LOUNGE
Directed, produced and presented by Lucinda Sieger, this video was edited and the Lucinda's live performance on 4 June was filmed by Anna Bowman. To celebrate the end of the exhibition 3 Places in time, fabulous artist and singer/songwriter Lucinda Sieger hosts a unique Lucie's Lounge. Her Lock down Lounge was filmed live on the last night of the exhibition 4 June 2021 and features guests including musicians Daisy Chute, Hide Takomoto, Winston Blissett, and Greek radio and TV presenter Vasoula Christodoulou
CASA CHROMATIC the house of charismatic colours
The Gallery at St Pancras hospital is transformed into the colourful rooms of an imaginary house - a bathroom, ladies toilet, conservatory, craft room, children's room, sitting room and a mysterious chamber. Gallery Manager Peter Herbert and co-curator artist Sue Kreitzman presented work by over 30 artists. The video won Best Short Documentary at the Boston Independent Film Awards June 2022
